In an individual sport, the itinerary is the case

Most people preparing a track and field petition spend their time proving the athlete is good. That part is usually the easy part. A ranked athlete has World Athletics rankings, national team selections, official results and personal bests — all public, all verifiable.

What USCIS actually challenges is the schedule and the employer. Track and field has no team contract, no league roster and no season signing. So the questions that come back are: which meets, on which dates, and what is this athlete doing in the weeks between them? And when an agent is petitioning as the employer — what exactly is the relationship between that agent and those events?

That is not a guess. It is what was raised in the Request for Evidence included in this kit, on a petition that was afterwards approved. You get the RFE and the response that answered it.

You are allowed to plead a season, not a single meet. The regulation defines the event to include an athletic season, tournament or tour. But then you have to show the season — and the gaps are what the adjudicator writes to you about.

These are our own filings, and they are redacted

This is not a set of invented samples, and it is not other people's work.

Every document came from a petition our own agencies filed SDS Sports Agency LLC and Innovative Global Talent Agency. We checked the petitioner line on every notice. Where a track petition in our files had been filed by another firm or another management company, it was left out — including cases we would have liked to show.
Personal data has been removed, not covered over Passport numbers, dates of birth, home addresses, personal contact details and signatures are deleted from the file itself — including inside scanned notices, which were read by OCR and burned out at the pixel level. Nothing is recoverable by copying text out of a black box.

P-1A or O-1A for a track athlete?

P-1A is tied to competing and works well for a ranked athlete with a real meet schedule. O-1A is tied to the person and covers coaching, training groups, academies and clinics — work P-1A does not reach. If you cannot fill the validity period with meets, or you are moving into coaching, O-1A is usually the better instrument. Both templates are in the kit, each with the decision spelled out.

Do I need a consultation letter from USA Track & Field?

USATF is the recognised consulting body for the sport, and yes, you want one. Request it early — it is the most common cause of delay in these filings. The kit includes the consultation correspondence from a real case, and the templates cover what to do if the letter does not arrive in time.

Can I file myself using these?

People do. Whether you should depends on your case. The templates and the worked examples show what a complete filing looks like and where track petitions get challenged. They cannot assess your evidence for you.

How do I get in after I pay?

Your username and password appear on the confirmation page immediately after payment. Save them before you close the tab. If you lose them, email us with your receipt and we will send them again.

Are the athletes' real names in the documents?

Yes. Personal data — passport numbers, dates of birth, addresses, signatures and personal contact details — has been removed from every file.

Do you cover other sports?

Sherrod Sports Visas works across sport, and there is a cricket kit already. Each kit is sport-specific because the evidence, the governing bodies and the failure points are sport-specific.

Can I share or resell the files?

No. They are licensed for your own use and your own cases. Please do not redistribute them.
